Payment Options

Individual Therapy

MN-TRI offers individual therapy for people wishing to move towards well-being. While we work with any presenting issue (e.g., depression, anxiety, eating disorders), we specialize in supporting clients heal from co-occurring post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance use disorders (SUDs). We use an approach to treat PTSD called Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET). This is a brief evidence based intervention for people who have multiple types and incidences of trauma (aka, complex trauma). Even when we work with individuals, we take a relational lens, helping clients thinking about developing healthy connection in their lives to support their life goals.

Couples Therapy

MN-TRI offers couples therapy for couples looking to reconnect, heal and foster loving, respectful and healthy relationships. We are experienced working with couples who have struggled with intimate partner violence/anger management issues as well as couples reconnecting after one or both partners were incarcerated or in chemical dependency treatment. We also support couples navigating challenges related to one or both partners who have a history of trauma.

Some common couple issues that we work with:

  • Dual Trauma (both people in the relationship have a history of trauma)

  • Infidelity

  • Intimate Partner Violence

  • Co-dependence

  • Addiction (one or both people)

Family Therapy

MN-TRI specializes in holding a family lens when we work with our clients. We know that our clients often experience their greatest joy and their deepest pain in the context of their family systems. We are committed to seeing people in the context of their relationships and love working with families. We work with families to support them as they navigate pain associate with generational trauma, addiction, and issues related to incarceration.

Some common family issues that we work with:

  • Families with an adult child who struggles with addiction

  • Families reconnecting after incarceration or parental absence

  • Families with a history of trauma

  • Parenting issues related to addiction, trauma and/or other mental health issue (e.g., Bipolar Disorder)

  • Parenting skills

  • Blended families and co-parenting

Therapy Groups

MN-TRI also offers a number of therapy groups for people interested in getting support in a group setting. Therapy groups are designed to provide therapeutic help around specific issues and allow for peer connection. These groups are billed as mental health services, just like individual therapy.

FINANCIAL AID POLICY

If you do not have insurance or your insurance is not accepted by MN-TRI and you cannot afford our fees, we offer a certain number of financial aid spots sponsored through our donors.
